Steve Huff Motorsports welcomes returning 2016 sponsor, EVS Sports. Steve is proud to be an EVS sponsored rider.
As EVS Sports says, "What started out as one knee brace (in 1985) has evolved into an extensive line of knees braces, neck supports, helmets, chest/back protection and a long list of protective gear products to keep any athlete safe when doing what they love."
It seems like more often than not, Steve gets injured off the track, when he isn't wearing his EVS safety gear. From shattered ankles to a broken neck; Steve has sustained life-changing injuries. Thanks to EVS Steve is able to keep riding and keep these injuries from being career ending.
After Steve's broken neck in 2014, he reached out to EVS Sports. After some discussion with the staff Steve incorporated the EVS neck collar into his land speed racing safety gear, and continued racing with confidence. Ultimately leading to a new 202.8mph land speed racing record.
When Steve isn't drag racing or land speed racing, you will often find him on a race prepped ATK 605. Steve says, "When you ride a Paul Paroli built 600cc Rotax equipted dirt bike, you learn real fast not to skimp on safety gear."
Steve currently uses the R4 Pro race collar when he is land speed racing at 200+mph. The Steve Huff Motorsports team will be incorporating the new EVS R4K neck collar into a specially designed road race hump. This will be wind tunnel tested later this year in preparation for the 2016 land speed racing season.
