PODIUM IN PERRIS, CA – STEVE HUFF MOTORSPORTS TEAM RIDER DAVID KOHLSTAEDT PUTS THE DESTINATION HARLEY-DAVIDSON XG750 WITH A 3RD PLACE WIN IN THE SCFTA HOOLIGAN MAIN.
Team rider and rising star, 15 year old David Kohlstaedt is racing on the Destination Harley-Davidson XG750. The team was able to spend a day with Dave Alexander at Fluid Suspension Science and now we know that David has a bike that handles as well as he can ride.
Unfortunately the race organizers would not let David race in the pro race tonight so he is racing his 450 in the Open Expert class and the XG750 in the SCFTA Hooligan class.
After David’s first practice with the new suspension, he was all smiles. David was 2nd overall in lap times today. Going into the mains, David was focused and confident in the performance of the XG750. Steve says, “The fact that this bike has come around so quickly is amazing and a testament to David’s ability to translate his riding needs to his team.”
Steve Huff is not accompanying the team after his recent motorcycle accident. Steve is recovering at home and will be back at the track soon. Unfortunately due to the accident the Steve Huff Motorsports was unable to complete the build of the Destination Harley-Davidson XL1200 that was planned for racing in the ½ mile Perris, CA track on Saturday, May 11th, so David will continue to ride the Destination Harley-Davidson XG750.
David is already attracting great attention for his outstanding performance and young age. Photo of interview for “On the Edge” on MAVTV. Unsure of airtime yet.

About David Kohlstaedt:
David Kohnstaedt, a native of Puyallup, WA has trained with top racers on both the dirt and pavement. After receiving his AMA Expert Road Racing Licence, he was mentored by Sammy Halbert, Mark Degross, Nobi Iso, and Brad Baker, David. He was one of the top 10 riders invited to the American Supercamp Invitational in 2015 at the AMA Pro Flat Track season finale in Las Vegas. This was the same year that David was named the AMA Youth Dirt Track “Rider of the Year”. In 2019 David was featured by Roadracing World as one of the top 25 “Young Guns”. At the age of only 15, David has achieved 14 championships.
