The record attempt comes just after drag racing legend Big Daddy Garlits set an EV record of 189.04 mph with an elapsed time of 7.235. Doing a final run after a day of testing at midnight, Huff's custom-built electric drag was able to hit 201.07 with an elapsed time of 7.52 with the car gaining 45 mph in the final portion of the run.
